CURRENT PROJECTS Willoughby Ranch has been around for a long time. Over the years, it has seen one renovation but was some time ago. The cows have grown old, and the water stagnant and the last straw was when the oil pump gave out and that land went up to foreclosure. Now, the rural renewal project has taken the module and started work on it, first my removing parts, then gluing down new foam and then starting to carve the base of the Wichita Mountains into the landscape. Once complete, new cows will be turned out to pasture, but since this is next to a wildlife refuge, you might see some buffalo roaming. And on occasion, if you listen carefully, you can hear them pactising at nearby Fort Sill, the home of the Army field artillery school. We will continue to post updates pictures as work progresses. |
